We have substantial experience advising clients in relation to natural resources, as well as the oil and gas industry. In that context, we provide a wide array of services inherent to such industries. We advise our clients as to the procurement of public works, private public partnerships (PPP), oil and gas regulations, management of natural resources, development of renewable energy projects, financing thereof, and disputes relating thereto.

Sample of our experience:

• Advised a German company in respect to providing renewable energy (solar) solutions to a number of municipalities; including as to the prospects of realizing the company’s BOT (build-operate-transfer) plan to link its project to the governmental electricity grid, in order to supplement its capacity by selling such additional power either to the Government or directly to the municipality;

• Advised the local representative of a USA based company active in the oil and gas sector on oil and gas regulations in Lebanon, as well as licensing and public procurement regulations;

• Advised clients on laws regulating natural resources, particularly on the exploitation of water sources. Represented clients in the procurement and renewal of the licenses and permits relating to such exploitation;

• Represented clients in disputes relating to the exploitation of water sources;

• Represented a number of hotels and beach resorts in the procurement and renewal of the governmental decrees, licenses and permits required by laws regulating the ownership and exploitation of public and private lands contiguous to the sea.
