We routinely represent clients in real estate dealings, as well as in project development; whether residential, commercial, touristic or infrastructure. We also have extensive experience advising clients in the preparation of bids, negotiation of contracts, the compliance with the terms of contracts and the resolution of disputes; with particular experience in FIDIC’s (Fédération Internationale Des Ingénieurs-Conseils – International Federation of Consulting Engineers) Conditions of Contract.

Sample of our experience:

  • Extensively advised real estate developers in relation to the development and execution of their projects;

  • Extensively represented real estate developers in disputes, whether litigation or arbitration, with contractors, consultants and other stakeholders;

  • Advised and represented the developers of the mixed-use tower that was planned to be the highest building in Lebanon throughout their disputes with the consultants and contractors resulting from the cancelation of their project shortly following commencement of the works;

  • Represented the company which reconstructed downtown Beirut after the civil war in real estate litigations and in transactions relating to its expropriation or re-expropriation of properties;

  • Represented an international food processing company in the acquisition of its factory in Lebanon, advised it as to the law regulating the acquisition of real estate by foreigners in Lebanon and procured the governmental decree allowing it to own the factory;

  • Advised a real estate company in its acquisition of 450 thousand square meters of land for the construction of a compound. Represented it in the procurement of all permits and licenses from the relevant authorities and in the signing of all contracts. Advised it regarding the compliance with all relevant laws. Drafted the compound’s regulatory guidelines in collaboration with the urban planning department, as well as its internal regulations;

  • Represented a company in the donation of one hundred thousand square meters of land to a university for the construction of parts of its campus.
